In the role of Infill drilling planner, you will make use of your good knowledge of geological CAD programs as you are responsible for planning, designing and developing drilling plans to optimize diamond drilling. You will have an important role where you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and analyzing important information about the core drilling. You therefore need to have good knowledge of geostatistics and the ability to interpret existing geological information in 3D.

The role requires knowledge of both English and Swedish as it includes a lot of technical report writing that are presented both to the Management Group and to our owners Mandalay Resources.

You will be able to use your cooperation skills by coordinating the location and time frame for the various drilling sites together with the engineers at the mine technical department.

Job duties

Your main duties include:

Planing and design Production and Development optimization drilling. Ensure to provide the information to the mine geology and engineering departments in time.
Update and present the drilling plan and results for the weekly production meeting and geomeeting.
Coordinate the location and timeline for drilling stations with the planning engineers, considering the actual mine plan and avoiding any possible disturbance.
Evaluate any possibilities to extend the current mineral resources near to the current as built infrastructure (DOD to extension drilling). Identify and evaluate any possible risk in the mine plan related to lack or poor geological information/interpretation.
Update the ore wireframes with all the new geological information available.

Qualifications

At least 180 credits (Bachelor's degree), preferably a Master's degree in Geology or equivalent
Previous experience in resource modeling is required - at least 1 year preferably 2 years of experience
B driving license is a requirement as the mine is located a bit outside Skellefteå with limited public transport
